Our department began offering undergraduate education in the 2024–2025 academic year. The duration of the program is five years, including the preparatory year. Our academic staff consists of five faculty members with PhDs, whose areas of expertise include language and literature, translation, and cultural studies. The aim of our department is to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the English language, literature, and culture, thereby contributing to the development of qualified literary scholars, foreign language specialists, and translators in our country. Our objectives include educating language experts who are inquisitive, capable of generating new ideas, confident about the future, and proficient in a foreign language at a native-like level. Our curriculum includes courses primarily in English literature, as well as in English linguistics, English culture, translation studies, and cultural studies. Graduates of our department have employment opportunities in universities, in public and private schools affiliated with the Ministry of National Education (upon obtaining an official teaching certificate), in private companies, translation agencies, publishing houses, and in sectors such as tourism, banking, and commerce.
